The Republic of Northern Macedonia marks one hundred years of engineering, since the founding of the first Macedonian Association of Engineers and Architects. At the proposal of the Engineering Institution of Macedonia, the date 21.03. entered the Program for marking jubilee anniversaries of important events and prominent personalities in the Republic of Northern Macedonia for 2020.
Historical documents available to the Engineering Institution of Macedonia say that the first main annual Assembly of Engineers and Architects in the field of the Skopje Construction Directorate was held on March 21, 1920, when the Association of Yugoslav Engineers and Architects - Skopje Section was established.
"This is really an important jubilee date for Macedonia, for the engineering, for the engineers and for the Engineering Institution of Macedonia. We celebrate the establishment of a profession that builds the Macedonian state. Therefore, we celebrate the jubilee with the slogan "One Century Partnership for Sustainable Development", says Professor Dr. Hristina Spasevska, President of the Engineering Institution of Macedonia.
