The Republic of Northern Macedonia marks one hundred years of engineering, since the founding of the first Macedonian association of engineers and architects.
At the proposal of the Association of Engineers Associations - Engineering Institution of Macedonia, March 21 became part of the Program for marking jubilee anniversaries of important events and prominent personalities in the Republic of Northern Macedonia for 2020.
The historical documents at the disposal of the Engineering Institution of Macedonia say that the first main annual Assembly of Engineers and Architects in the field of the Skopje Construction Directorate was held on March 21, 1920, when an independent Association of Yugoslav Engineers and Architects - Skopje Section was established.
