The operator of the Plavica Project is SILGEN RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL Ltd which is dominantly owned by Genesis Resources Ltd from Australia. In 2021, the Agency organized a survey of public opinion in Probishtip and Kratovo in order to determine the mood of local residents regarding the opening of the new Plavica gold mine. The research was carried out in two phases - desk top preparations, research and analysis of the collected information with drawing conclusions and recommendations, after which the field research was carried out, which included:
- defining a population for research,
- preparation of a written structured questionnaire (with closed questions)
- printing a questionnaire
- preparation of a team to implement the questionnaire (training)
- data entry and analysis in SPSS program
- drawing conclusions and recommendations for next activities. The gold mine project is under development.
